Steps in Grace Principle:
RESILIENCY
To minimize feelings of failure, helplessness, and stress we began developing effective resiliency strategies that lead to a sense of strength and freedom – including replacing bad habits with healthy routines and impulsive reactions with thoughtful responses.
JOY.
THANKS.
REFRESHMENT.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 3:23-24 - ...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
James 4:10 - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
2 Corinthians 12:9b - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Isaiah 61:10 - I delight greatly in the Lord; for my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.
Hebrews 4:10 - For whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Ephesians 6:10-11a - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God.."

IMAGINATION RELAXATION
Imagine yourself at a beach near the shore. Lay down on the floor or on your bed. Get comfortable and imagine the scene as fully as you can methodically working through each of the senses - feeling the sand beneath your towel, hearing the seagulls and the gentle waves on the shore, feeling the comfortable warmth of the sun, smelling sea air. . .Take a few deep breaths. Now begin to imagine that the tide is coming it. You know it will only get up to your neck, but the first wave reaches the bottom of your feet, the next your ankles and so on. Each wave
Or Make up your own scene – in a hammock or some other peaceful place or from a good memory.
CONTEMPLATION Sensory Basket
With notes, painted stones or items that give you comfort…healthy foods or beverages you love, nice textures, scented candles, things that hold good memories, accomplishments, photos, cards, favourite verses or quotes, prayer requests. All things that remind you that you are significant, loved, accepted, valued.
ANCHORS AHOY
Have some anchors ready. You can have a 5-second rule to STOP for 5 seconds before reacting. This gives you an opportunity to REDIRECT your thoughts. You can choose one of a handful of go-to happy thoughts, memories or Bible verse that can “redirect” thinking to regain some anchored emotional stability.
WHITE NOISE
Find white noise to listen to on Youtube or Spotify to help settle you. This is quite effective especially if you have tinnitus.
